Job summary

Our client is seeking an experienced CDM Principal Designer to join the established London team in a managerial capacity. The role blends hands-on Principal Designer delivery with day-to-day management of the CDM team, including workload planning, performance, mentoring and professional development.

This is suited to an established Senior CDM Consultant, Principal Designer or Associate-level professional aiming to move into a formal management position within a leading construction and property

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the CDM2015 and design risk management across complex projects.
• Proven experience working directly with clients and senior project stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring or developing other professionals.
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent/Diploma preferred.
• Membership of APS, IOSH or another relevant professional body.
• Experience within a construction or property consultancy environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead on a portfolio of high-profile projects while managing the CDM team.
• Oversee workload planning, performance coaching and mentoring.
• Develop and grow the CDM service and maintain strong client relationships.

The business provides cost, project and infrastructure management services alongside specialist Principal Designer and CDM consultancy, working with a broad range of clients across the UK and internationally.

The Opportunity?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CDM Principal Designer to join the established London team in a managerial capacity.

The role will combine hands on Principal Designer delivery with responsibility for managing and developing members of the CDM team, supporting the growth of the service and maintaining strong client relationships.

You will continue to lead on a portfolio of high-profile projects whilst taking responsibility for the day2day management of the team, including workload planning, performance, mentoring and professional development.

This would suit an established Senior CDM Consultant, Principal Designer or Associate-level professional looking to take the next step into a genuine management position.

About You?
