Associate: Cauliflower Field Trials

Location: Duchy College, Rosewarne and trials site at Gwithian and Hayle

Salary: Up to £13.44 per hour

Terms & Conditions: Ad-Hoc

Closing Date: 4 January 2025

About the Role

A part‑time role is available for the Duchy College Brassica Variety Trials which evaluate different cauliflower varieties across Autumn and Winter to support breeding and grower decisions. To maintain the quality and continuity of these trials, a seasonal support role is available for a dependable individual to assist with harvesting and data collection during peak periods and staff absences.

Responsibilities
  • Outdoor fieldwork, including manual crop harvesting.
  • Accurate data recording.
  • Work 4‑6 hours twice weekly during busy windows (mid‑October to early December and mid‑February to mid‑March).
Skills & Experience
  • Flexibility, attention to detail, and teamwork are essential.
  • Training and personal protective equipment will be provided.
