The Deutsche Numis Business Services and Industrials team is looking for an Associate level professional to support our corporate finance activities. The Deutsche Numis’ Business Services and Industrials team provides origination and advisory services across the whole Corporate Advisory services spectrum, including Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Equity Capital Markets (ECM) and Debt Capital Markets (DCM) to public corporations and financial sponsors.

In this role, you will be assisting in origination and execution of transactions predominately in the United Kingdom (UK) region.

Your key responsibilities

  • Transaction execution, financial modelling, structuring, due diligence, documentation and management of legal and accounting workstreams
  • Assisting senior team members with origination of new business, including identification of target opportunities
  • Assisting with the preparation of presentations for clients, investors, and the broader investment community and responsible for responding to client-specific requests
  • Communicating with clients, advisers and senior investment bankers, including participation in client meetings and events in both origination and execution projects
  • Working with our retained UK listed advisory clients, providing market intelligence alongside broader strategic and M&A advice
  • Preparing complex financial analysis. Developing knowledge and coverage of certain subsectors and geographies within the industry remit of the team. Assisting with sector projects, initiatives, and responsibilities, working towards revenue requirements determined by the business

Your skills and experience

  • Educated to bachelor’s degree level or equivalent qualification/relevant work experience
  • Relevant experience in Investment Banking or relevant financial services role
  • Excellent understanding of financial markets and corporate finance
  • Strong technical skills across financial analysis, modelling and valuations
  • Highly motivated, team player with a desire to work in a client facing role
  • Excellent communication skills under pressure. A strong commitment to integrity, professionalism, and teamwork
