AtkinsRéalis Infrastructure division has a vacancy in our London office for an Associate Chartered Building Surveyor to work in a multi-disciplinary environment, delivering a full suite of Building Surveying duties. This position is ideal for an Associate Level Chartered Building Surveyor with post-qualification experience looking to develop their career within a forward-thinking organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Managing a variety of projects across different sectors, performing building surveying and project management duties.
2. Assisting in developing new and repeat business across sectors.
3. Managing client relationships and ensuring service delivery per project.
4. Supporting senior managers in daily business operations, including:
   • Project management and contract administration for larger projects.
   • Condition and measured surveys.
   • Designing and implementing small to medium projects.
   • Due diligence surveys.
5. Applying standard forms of building contracts like JCT and NEC.
6. Staying updated on industry issues and best practices.
7. Developing bids and managing bid processes.
8. Acting as the primary client interface, ensuring quality and timeliness of services.
9. Gaining experience in sectors such as education, local authorities, healthcare, government, and infrastructure projects.
10. Conducting defect analysis, building surveys, and producing reports and specifications.
11. Mentoring junior surveyors and participating in the APC program.
12. Understanding principles of quality, safety, and environmental management in projects.
13. Delivering pre- and post-contract project management services.
14. Managing frameworks, delivering commissions, maintaining client relationships, and supporting revenue targets.

Requirements:

• BSc (Hons) Building Surveying, RICS accredited.
• Full member of RICS.
• Proven all-round surveying experience, client-facing with work-winning skills.
• Experience in pre- and post-contract project management.
• Strong team working and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel.
• Ability to collaborate with senior colleagues and build a profitable service.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and awareness of BIM systems.
• Experience in managing and mentoring team members, including APC graduates.
• Experience in client management and expectation setting.
• Understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
