Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate Building Surveyor to join a construction consultancy based in Central London. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, with the potential for further career development in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Managing and delivering building surveying projects from inception through to completion
  2. Providing expert advice on building defects, dilapidations, and refurbishment projects
  3. Undertaking technical due diligence and building surveys
  4. Client relationship management, including advising on technical issues and project scope
  5. Leading and mentoring junior staff, providing guidance and support
  6. Assisting with business development activities and fostering long-term client relationships

Key Requirements:

  1. MRICS qualified
  2. Proven experience in building surveying within the commercial, residential, or mixed-use sectors
  3. Strong technical knowledge and expertise in building pathology, dilapidations, and contract administration
  4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  5. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  6. A proactive, self-motivated approach to problem-solving and client service
