Job summary

Browne Jacobson LLP in Manchester is seeking a Banking & Finance Solicitor to join our team. You will handle complex and high-value transactions for a prestigious client base including major UK banks, advise on acquisition and property finance, asset-based lending, restructuring and refinancing, and coordinate across Corporate and Real Estate teams.

You will lead and support transactions from instruction to completion, manage relationships, supervise juniors, and contribute to business

Qualifications

  • Experience in banking and finance matters including acquisition, property, restructuring and refinancing.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and project management skills.
  • Excellent commercial awareness with a client-focused approach.

  • Drafting and negotiating facility agreements, security documents and intercreditor agreements.
  • Leading and supporting transactions from instruction through to completion.
  • Managing client relationships and attending client meetings.

  • Supporting business development activities and helping to grow the team's profile and client base.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Banking & Finance Solicitor to join our highly regarded team, acting on a broad range of complex and high-value transactions for a prestigious client base, including major UK banks such as Lloyds, NatWest, HSBC, Santander and Clydesdale Bank. Working alongside colleagues across our Corporate and Real Estate teams, you will advise clients on a variety of banking and finance matters, including acquisition finance, property finance, asset-based lending, restructuring and refinancing.

What you'll be doing
  • Advising clients on banking and finance transactions and arrangements.
  • Drafting and negotiating facility agreements, security documents and intercreditor agreements.
  • Leading and supporting transactions from instruction through to completion.

We are seeking a commercially minded lawyer with:
  • Experience in banking and finance matters, including some or all of acquisition finance, property finance, development finance, restructuring and refinancing.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and project management skills.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and a client-focused approach.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • A proactive, ambitious and collaborative mindset.
  • A genuine interest in business development and growing a successful practice.
