I am currently working with a prestigious law firm, renowned for its collaborative and high-performing Banking & Finance team, who are looking to appoint an Associate. This is an exciting opportunity for a solicitor to join a tight-knit, non-hierarchical team and gain exposure to a broad range of domestic and cross-border financing transactions.
The team advises on a wide array of matters, including leveraged, real estate, structured, Islamic, and receivables financing, as well as restructuring existing facilities. Their client base includes major clearing banks, commercial and private banks, non-bank lenders, investment funds, institutional investors, corporate borrowers, hedge funds, and family offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support on all aspects of transactions, including loan terms, security documents, and CPs, with guidance from Transaction Execution Managers.
  • Take ownership of transactions, managing loan and security terms.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Participate in business development activities, attending internal and external client marketing events.
  • Deliver clear, practical, and persuasive client advice.
  • Conduct research and provide accurate, commercially aware advice.
  • Contribute to knowledge-sharing and know-how initiatives within the team.
  • Assist in organising and hosting client marketing events.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory obligations, including adherence to SRA Standards and Regulations.

Candidate Profile:

  • England and Wales qualified solicitor with 1-5 years PQE.
  • Broad experience in general banking and finance matters.
  • Strong legal and commercial judgement, with an understanding of clients' needs.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to perform well under pressure.
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexible and proactive, with the ability to manage a wide variety of tasks.
  • A self-motivated team player, also confident working independently.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with a focus on client care.
