Current Opportunities

We are hiring for multiple positions within our flood risk and water team due to ongoing growth. We are seeking an Associate Director to support our Water Engineering team across the UK, ideally based in Manchester, Chorley, Cockermouth, Newcastle, Liverpool, or Leeds. Other locations will be considered for the right candidate.

Role Overview

This role involves leading projects across a broad spectrum of water sector projects, including flood alleviation schemes, surface water separation, and natural flood risk management. You will oversee projects from inception to completion, guide junior staff, and support client relationships and business development.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead projects in river, coastal, and flood defense appraisal and design.
  2. Manage hydraulic modeling, hydrology assessments, and surface water management.
  3. Support business case development and client engagement.
  4. Mentor and supervise junior team members.
  5. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience in flood risk and surface water projects.
  • Knowledge of catchment planning and decision-making.
  • Proficiency in report writing and presenting.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Skills in ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civils 3D, and MS Office.
  • Degree in a relevant field; Chartered with ICE or CIWEM.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK Driving License and willingness to obtain SC security clearance.
