ASSOCIATE ASSISTANT EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGIST
Waite Psychology has availability for the position of an Associate Assistant Educational Psychologist (AEP), so we can better respond to the demand for our services.
We are seeking an Associate Assistant Educational Psychologist to join our team on a full- or part-time basis, term time only (39 weeks annually), and to work in and around the Greater Manchester and East Lancashire areas, with the expectation that the successful candidate may need to travel further afield (within reason) to meet service demands.
The post is an associate position with a salary based on the Soulbury pay scale (1 to 4, £35,228 (£135 a day) to £39,341 (£151 a day)), prorated to 39 weeks annually and agreed depending upon skill and experience.

Waite Psychology has been providing Educational Psychology and Support Services since 2018. We are a family run service and currently consist of a team of eighteen professionals, inclusive of Educational Psychologists (EP), Assistant Educational Psychologists, Specialist Teachers and an office/administrative team. We deliver services to schools across the North-West, inclusive of Lancashire, Blackpool, Blackburn with Darwin, Bolton and Greater Manchester.

Qualifications:
British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited undergraduate programme or conversion degree programme in Psychology – First degree class I or II, or conversion degree at merit level.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The role and purpose
To work as a member of the Educational Psychology Service. To carry out a range of duties to support Educational Psychologists in their delivery of the Service's aims and objectives. To undertake a range of psychological assessment and intervention services, particularly therapeutic approaches, related to special educational needs.
Accountable to: Senior Educational Psychologist
Duties and Responsibilities
To ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including equality and anti-discrimination legislation.
To develop skills and knowledge through participation in the process of supervision with a qualified Educational Psychologist.
To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the overall function, appropriate with the level of responsibility of the post.
