Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, at our Glasgow office. Some travel may be required.

About this opportunity:

The Broker Relationship Manager role is an exciting new opportunity within our growing and successful Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) Asset Finance Broker Team based in Glasgow & Southampton. Working closely alongside the other Broker Relationship Managers to manage a panel of Asset Finance brokers and deliver on our business targets.

What you’ll be doing:

  • To help deliver core Asset Finance targets and maximise business levels and profitability from existing and prospective LBG panel Brokers

  • To build and develop internal relationships with key colleagues to leverage and grow broker opportunities.

  • To contribute and assist Asset Finance business in delivering its strategy alongside LBG in the market

  • The role will entail both Relationship Management of a few key panel Brokers as well as playing a more strategic role in seeking to develop everything "broker".

What you’ll need:

  • Strong Relationship Management - You’ll be confident managing and nurturing relationships with a panel of Asset Finance brokers, acting as a trusted partner and advisor

  • Credit and Analytical Competence - A solid understanding of credit principles and risk assessment. You’ll evaluate broker proposals and contribute to sound credit decisions

  • Excellent Communication Skills - You’ll communicate clearly and persuasively—both in writing and verbally—with internal colleagues and external brokers

  • Self-Motivation and Organisational Skills - You’ll manage your own workload effectively, juggling multiple broker relationships, internal meetings, and strategic initiatives

  • Critical Thinking - You’ll contribute ideas, identify opportunities for growth, and help refine our broker strategy in line with LBG’s wider commercial goals

It would also be useful if you had:

  • Product and Process Knowledge - Familiarity with Asset Finance products (e.g. hire purchase, leasing) and the broker channel
