A little more about your role…

  • Support the Capability Leader to lead our creative team of 20 plus designers.
  • Establish a pro-active client facing role, you will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively co-ordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Wide-ranging experience in leading large scale, technically complex projects from concept through to delivery on site and in-use assistance to clients.
  • Support our team leaders with project resourcing and utilisation.
  • Overseeing project finances and delivery schedules and supporting the team to meet submissions.
  • An advanced understanding of standards, legislation and regulations affecting buildings and lighting.
  • Wide-ranging understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work and relevant deliverables for each work stage.
  • An advanced understanding of industry relevant software, such as DIALux Evo, AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign and the Microsoft Suite (an understanding of MicroStation and AGi32 would be beneficial).
  • Preparing Health and Safety and Wellbeing documentation for project delivery such as risk registers and decision registers.
  • Advanced technical subject experience and the ability to quality check the team’s work to ensure technical excellence and innovation is achieved.
  • Preparing fee proposals for large scale projects both for internal and external clients.
  • Support the Capability Leader to grow established and new relationships with internal and external clients, through presentations and the overseeing of marketing material.
  • Promote WSP externally by presenting at conferences or having papers published in industry relevant journals.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a field related to Architecture / Lighting Design / Interior Design / Product Design / Design / Engineering.
  • Motivation to lead expressive lighting design solutions, influence wellbeing, inspire through leadership, and enable the team to deliver technical advances conceptual narratives through storytelling.
  • Advanced experience in guiding the professional development of team members.
