Job Description:

The Role

The Security Engineering team at Veeva is seeking an aspiring Application Security Engineer to work with product teams to secure applications. Responsibilities include managing SAST/SCA environments, developing DevSecOps automation, system integrations via APIs and Webhooks, automating security tools, data analytics, and creating integrated dashboards. You will support product development teams on code quality and security issues.

What You'll Do

• Support Checkmarx SAST & SCA platform, tuning and supporting product development
• Assist application teams with scan automation via CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins
• Automate security tools within DevSecOps processes
• Create best practices, troubleshoot systems, and document processes
• Develop code for data collection and transformation in data lakes and warehouses
• Maintain security infrastructure, tools, and systems
• Integrate security tools through APIs and webhooks
• Engage with business units throughout project lifecycle
• Create and maintain security dashboards consolidating multiple security systems

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Coding skills in Java, Python, and React
• Understanding of security standards like OWASP Top 10, NIST 800-53
• Experience with Static Application Security Testing tools like Checkmarx
• Over 1 year experience as a security engineer or application developer
• Knowledge of security engineering, infrastructure, and network security
• Familiarity with protocols, cryptography, application security
• Experience with languages like Python, Java, React, Ruby, Perl, PHP, C/C++, C#
• Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, or related fields
• Experience with web and mobile app assessment
• Knowledge of fuzzing and exploit development
