Job description

Overview

Key duties (including, but not limited to):

  • Supporting a leading specialist insurer with their Solvency II internal model development and regulatory approval, thereby saving them capital of approximately 15% of their standard formula level.
  • Driving efficiencies and effectiveness of an insurance group’s ALM and investment processes through improvements in their measurement framework and operating model.
  • Streamlining an insurer’s stress and scenario testing approach to enhance efficiency and robustness, leading to better outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Benchmarking and improving an insurer’s approach to credit risk measurement, focusing on non-standard and illiquid assets within their Solvency II models.
  • Redesigning an insurance group’s finance operations to reduce duplication and streamline organizational layers.
  • Developing a transformation risk management framework for a global financial services conglomerate.

Qualifications required:

  • Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic institution.

Experience required:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably with a top-tier consulting firm or large insurer.
  • Knowledge of finance and risk management topics, including Solvency II internal models and ORSA.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal contexts.
