Responsibilities

• As a Senior Fire Engineer, work on a variety of projects, from universities to high-rise residential towers, including international assignments, with the goal of enabling innovative architectural design without compromising fire safety.
• Run through design information and liaise with other WSP disciplines (Facades, Acoustics, Structures).
• Present designs to local authorities and the Fire Service; inform the design team about changes that could increase building safety.
• Be guided through software packages, fire standards, team briefings and client updates from the start; participate in social and team activities.
• Support the successful candidate toward professional registration (e.g., IFE) and other professional organisations.

Qualifications

• BSc (BEng) or MSc (MEng) in Fire, Structural, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience within the fire engineering consulting industry is required.
• This role can be based from any of our UK major offices.
