Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is hiring an Associate AI Security Specialist to help secure AI systems across the Group. The role centers on embedding security controls, supporting engineering teams, and ensuring AI solutions follow security standards.

The position offers hybrid working with 35 hours per week and a salary range of £48,987 to £56,000 per annum (outside London), across multiple UK locations including Edinburgh, Leeds, Bristol, Manchester, and London.

Qualifications

• A degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in cyber security or technology risk with exposure to AI, data, or cloud environments is desirable.
• Understanding of core cyber security principles (IAM, secure app design, data protection).
• Familiarity with public cloud security concepts and tooling; hands-on experience is a plus.
• Interest in AI technologies including ML and generative AI use cases.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, UK GDPR and their application to AI systems.
• Experience supporting security controls in applications or platforms.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Support secure design, implementation, and adoption of AI systems and applications across the Group.
• Embed security controls and assist engineering teams to ensure AI solutions align with security standards.
• Contribute to safe adoption and understanding attacker use/exploitation of AI.
