Job description

Excellent opportunity for a nearly or recently qualified Actuary to join their risk transfer consulting team, providing high quality advice to clients on the journey to buy-in, broking the market and winding up a scheme.

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

  • Managing the delivery of multiple projects and co-ordinating relevant teams and client stakeholder , ensuring that work is done on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Where multiple services (i.e. actuarial, admin, investment) are provided, work across all practices to ensure that the same standards are met
  • Taking on a wide-ranging portfolio of work while developing client exposure and essential business skills
  • Preparing client communications, presentations and reports and attending meetings with clients
  • Developing and preparing project plans and inputting into setting budgets
  • Associate or fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries is preferred but not essential (or equivalent recognised actuarial qualification) with relevant risk transfer and bulk annuity broking experience
  • First class interpersonal and client relationship management skills
  • First class project management and organisational abilities
  • Relevant pensions experience, an understanding of the legislative framework for UK pension schemes, how a bulk annuity transaction is completed and the journey to buy-out for pension schemes
  • A sound grounding in actuarial and computer techniques
