Your team

Pictet Alternative Advisors (PAA) is a leading alternative investment asset manager that is part of the Pictet Group, with a focus on private equity, private real estate, private credit and hedge funds. Pictet Group currently has more than €50bn of AUM in alternatives and more than USD 4bn of private real estate AUM.

You will be part of a team of 20 professionals dedicated to Pictet’s pan-European Direct Real Estate franchise, which began in 2019 with the launch of Elevation Fund I, a EUR 700 million value-add fund. Elevation Fund II was launched in 2023, and a Core Plus fund, with approximately EUR 200 million under management, was launched in 2021. The team is distributed across several locations: in London, where the core investment and asset management teams are based; in Geneva, where the investment legal and investor relations teams operate; and in Berlin, Stockholm, and Madrid, where our regional heads are located. Additionally, fund support functions such as fund administration, compliance, and legal affairs are situated in Luxembourg.

As we continue to expand our franchise, we are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our investment team in London.

Your role

  • Support the acquisition process:Assist in sourcing new investment opportunities, reviewing underwriting / modelling investments, preparing documents required for internal Investment Committee approval, carrying out due diligence (commercial, technical, legal, structuring, tax), agreeing terms with various counterparties; Support the asset and portfolio management process: Work with the team to manage a multi-sector, pan-European portfolio of direct real estate investments. Collaborate with operating partners and real estate team and finance colleaguesto monitor and enhance investment performance Asset management : Conduct detailed property-level analyses on a regular basis, including lease reviews, capital projects, operating and financial statements and market positioning. Build and maintain portfolio reporting and financial analysis tools such as dashboards, benchmarking and ROI models. Assist in the preparation of property-level business plans, budgets and variance analysis and any further analysis requested by internal or external stakehoders. Contribute actively to disposal and refinancing processes: Coordinate with operating partners, brokers, lenders and prospective buyers to successfully dispose of portfolio assets. Assist in evaluating performance impact of sales and refinancings; Contribute to fundraising process: Assist in preparing ad-hoc materials related to existing and pipeline investments.

Your profile

  • University degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification from a top tier university; 2 to 4 years of experience in private real estate, acquired either through an investment bank or a high calibre value add fund or an operating partner. Prior exposure to the DACH region is a plus; Proven solid modelling and analytical skills acquired in demanding working environments; Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, and a natural ability to work with a team across various locations; Excellent command of English; one of several European languages such as Spanish, German, French or a Nordic language will be an asset for this role.
