Job description

Who are we?

Kato is a fast-growing PropTech company, backed by top-tier VCs, investors, and industry experts. Our mission is to revolutionise commercial property through our all-in-one online platform and extensive industry data. We’re just getting started and are seeking dynamic, confident individuals to join our journey and help shape the future of commercial property.

Role overview

We’re looking for a proactive and people-focused Associate Account Executive (AAE) to join our amazing sales team and help us build trusted relationships with commercial property clients across the UK.

This is a sales-focused, outbound role, where you’ll play a key part in connecting with new prospects, understanding their challenges, and guiding them through our platform. You’ll manage the entire sales journey from first contact to closing the deal and working in a high-volume environment with average deal values of £5,000–£15,000.

You’ll have the support of our BDR and marketing teams, but you’ll also be encouraged to take initiative, bring ideas forward, and truly make this role your own.

What you’ll be doing with us:

  • Reach out to potential clients through email, phone, and LinkedIn in a warm, thoughtful way
  • Hold engaging discovery conversations that focus on listening and understanding
  • Lead product demos that clearly communicate value and build trust
  • Manage multiple opportunities at once and keep your pipeline organised using HubSpot
  • Work closely with BDRs and marketing to support lead generation and follow‑up
  • Collaborate with account managers to ensure a smooth client handover and long‑term success
  • Represent Kato at events, helping to create strong first impressions
  • Contribute to a positive, team‑first sales culture that celebrates learning and shared success

What we look for in you:

We want to ensure a great fit for both you and us, so we look for a few key qualities in all our team members:

  • Excited for each step of the journey you are about to embark on
  • Up for the challenge of a startup environment which is on a growth trajectory
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Adaptable to new and different challenges and ways of working
  • Keen to take ownership of your work and responsibilities
  • Tech-savvy
  • A problem solver with a knack of picking things up and running with them
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
  • Positive and empathetic
  • A keep it simple attitude; working efficiently to enhance productivity
  • Pro-active, interested in more than a ‘typical’ office job

Experience & skills

  • At least 2+ years of experience in a client‑facing sales role, ideally in SaaS or tech
  • Enjoy building authentic relationships and guiding people through decision‑making
  • Are comfortable with a goal‑focused environment but value quality conversations over pushy tactics
  • Can handle multiple deals at once without losing focus or follow through
  • Like to plan ahead, stay organised, and support teammates when needed
  • Are comfortable initiating contact, asking questions, and navigating concerns with empathy
  • Are eager to learn, grow, and develop your skills as part of a collaborative team

Compensation & benefits

We’re asking a lot of you, so it’s only fair that we give something back:

  • Salary - £70,000- £80,000 OTE
  • 25 days annual leave + your birthday off, a duvet day, and a life‑event day
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
  • Private healthcare, including dental & optical
  • Company pension scheme
  • Hybrid working (up to 2 days from home each week)
  • A welcoming, modern London office with free snacks & drinks
  • Quarterly team socials, celebrations, and regular check‑ins
  • Ongoing coaching, development sessions, and peer support

We’re building a company where sales isn’t just about hitting numbers, it's about helping people make better decisions, growing together as a team, and enjoying the journey along the way.

If you’re looking for a role where you can make a real impact, connect with great people, and be supported to succeed, we’d love to hear from you.
