Job description

We have a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Associate to join our growing team!

Our award-winning employment group is one of the largest, most specialised and respected legal teams in the North, with the team being consistently ranked top in legal directories such as The Legal 500.

You'll work on a diverse range of cases, from day-to-day HR advice to complex business reorganisations and employment tribunal claims.

We provide strategic, tailored advice to businesses facing employment challenges while also supporting senior executives and directors in negotiating executive settlement agreements, restrictive covenants, and compensation packages.

What you'll be doing but not limited to

  • Advising on employment law issues, including contracts, redundancies, TUPE & collective consultations.
  • Managing employment tribunal claims, including unfair dismissal, discrimination & whistleblowing cases.
  • Providing corporate support on transactions and restructures.
  • Building strong client relationships.
  • Supervising and mentoring team members.

What we need from you

  • Relevant experience acting for employers (and executives).
  • Ability to work autonomously while also being a team player.
  • Experience successfully handling employment tribunal claims.
  • Strong client skills and commercial awareness.
  • Willingness to work across offices and develop business opportunities.
  • Ability to delegate effectively.
  • Trade union experience – beneficial but not essential.
  • Client following – not essential, but a plus!
