Job summary

83zero Ltd is looking for an Associate Procurement Professional to join a global manufacturing organisation in Desford, Leicestershire. This hybrid role offers 37.5 hours per week on a 12-month contract with potential extension and flexible start/finish times.

You will support procurement across purchasing, logistics and supplier management, build supplier relationships, drive improvements and participate in automation and AI initiatives, with roughly 10% travel across the UK and Europe.

Qualifications

• Experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain or Logistics (2+ years).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Data analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement activities across purchasing, logistics and supplier management.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through regular meetings and reviews.
• Support engineering changes and new part set-up.
• Drive continuous improvement, automation and lean initiatives.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain or Logistics (minimum 2 years preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Data analysis experience
• Negotiation and sourcing experience
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Good project coordination skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (VLOOKUPs, formulas), Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint
• A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset

Desirable

• Experience with Power BI
• Experience using ERP systems (Glovia advantageous)
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
