Oldham College is looking for an Assistive Technologist

Salary: £26,269 - £28,053

The Role

The Assistive Technologist at Oldham College plays a vital role in creating a supportive and inclusive environment where all students feel valued and empowered. The role involves delivering assistive technology (AT) support across the college, promoting inclusive digital practices, providing personalized learner support, and collaborating with staff to embed accessibility and adaptive strategies into teaching and learning.

Requirements
  • Experience working with learners with various additional needs (e.g., dyslexia, ADHD, autism, visual impairments) in an educational setting.
  • Knowledge of assistive technologies and an interest in emerging technologies, with a proactive approach to trialling and implementing new tools to support learners.
  • An understanding of inclusive education principles and how assistive technology can remove barriers to learning and promote independence.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and external agencies.
