Job summary

Altrad Services A/S in the UK is seeking an Assistant Welding Engineer to join the team, based in Renfrew or Tipton, supporting sites across the UK and abroad.

You will assist with welding, heat treatment, NDT, and procedures; review documents; support development activities; and build client relationships.

Requirements include degree or diploma in metallurgy or related engineering, pursuing EWE/CEng, and strong knowledge of joining technologies.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Metallurgy or a related Engineering discipline.
• Preferably working towards, or holding, EWE and/or CEng status.
• Strong understanding of high-pressure and high-temperature process plant environments.
• Knowledge of materials behaviour and fabrication challenges in demanding service conditions.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative.
• Strong technical knowledge of joining technologies.
• Good communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships.

About The Role

Altrad are currently looking for an Assistant Welding Engineer to join the team based in Renfrew or Tipton.

Reporting to the Welding Engineering Department Head, the Assistant Welding Engineer will support operational sites in the UK and overseas by providing technical welding engineering input and maintaining strong working relationships with clients and site personnel.
