Altrad Services A/S is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter for an outage project at Hartlepool. The role follows NAECI wage and includes lodge/travel where applicable, with a pay rate of £23.45 per hour. The work pattern is 12/2, with days and nights, starting 18 March 2027 and running to about 6 May.

A fixed-term contract requires CTC clearance and relevant qualifications. The ideal candidate has a recognized training program, oil & gas sector experience, and certifications such as CCNSG

Qualifications

• Experience in oil & gas or continuous process industries.
• Appropriate qualifications such as CompEx, City & Guilds, ONC/HNC or equivalent.
• Must be CTC cleared or willing to undergo.
• CCNSG Safety Passport and NVQ level 3.

Responsabilités

• Inspect and diagnose faults on mechanical plant and machinery.
• Disassemble, repair, and replace worn parts.
• Assemble and re-assemble plant components and test for correct operation.
• Adhere to safety checks and site procedures.

About The Role

Altrad are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the team at Hartlepool for the upcoming outage project.

The work pattern for this position is 12/2, dayshift 7.30 - 18.00 & nightshift 19.00 to 7.00. This is a fixed term position which requires you to be willing to undergo or currently hold CTC clearance. Starting 18th March 2027 until 6th May approx.

The position is paid under NAECI agreements, with lodge and travel paid where applicable. Pay rate: £23.45 per hour

Key Deliverables:

• To ascertain job requirements from drawings and/or other specifications.
• To examine faulty plant or machinery and to ascertain nature and location of defects.
• To study plant or machinery drawings, technical manuals or other specifications.
• To determine sequence and method of required operations.
• To dismantle plant or machinery and remove damaged or worn parts.
• To repair defective parts, obtain replacement parts or prepare new parts using hand and machine tools.
• To fit and assemble parts to rebuild plant or machinery.
• To test plant or machinery for correct functioning and make necessary adjustments.
• To carry out service tasks such as cleaning, oiling and greasing, according to schedule.
• To perform all of these tasks in relation to the repair and servicing of various types of mechanical plant and industrial machinery.
• To operate overhead crane/basic slinging in a safe manner.
• To install or reposition plant or machinery.
• To modify standard machinery for special purposes.
• To adhere to all safety requirements including safety checks of tools and equipment.
• To use all relevant workshops/site equipment associated with job requirements including all relevant training/certification requirements.

Key Requirements / Qualifications:

• You will have completed a recognized training programme and have experience within the oil & gas industry or other continuous process industry.
• Appropriate qualifications such as CompEx, City & Guilds, ONC/HNC or equivalent should be held.
• Must be CTC cleared or willing to undergo
• CCNSG Safety Passport
• NVQ level 3
