Job summary

Omega Drywall & Insulation Distributors in the UK is seeking a reliable and organised Assistant Warehouse Manager to support the Warehouse Manager in daily operations, overseeing storage, handling and distribution of building materials and merchant products.

You will supervise staff, plan workloads, ensure orders are picked, packed and dispatched on time, maintain stock records, coordinate deliveries, and work with sales, purchasing and transport teams to improve efficiency while controlling

Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse or logistics operations, preferably within the building materials or merchant sector.
• Good organisational and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of stock control and warehouse management systems.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Warehouse Manager with the day-to-day running of the warehouse.

• Maintain stock accuracy through regular stock checks and inventory control.

• Liaise with the sales, purchasing, and transport teams to ensure efficient operations.
• Monitor warehouse equipment and report maintenance requirements.
• Help improve warehouse efficiency while reducing stock loss and operational costs.
