Assistant Underwriter

Bristol to Plymouth region (Home based)

Barker Munro Recruitment Ltd is seeking a broker orientated, and detail focused Assistant Underwriter to develop both new relationships and existing ones on behalf of one of our clients.

The role will include assisting the Commercial Underwriters with renewal business as well as Commercial Administration and therefore this role would be perfect for someone with strong administration experience. The role will be a fantastic opportunity for someone who likes variety and flexibility to manage their own time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with servicing accounts for renewal business in accordance with the Commercial Underwriter.
  • Fostering positive working relationships with Brokers and Clients and providing a professional and prompt service.
  • Remaining compliant and escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Administration of Binding Authority bordereaux.
Qualifications / Requirements

We are seeking applications from candidates with Commercial insurance experience gained within Broking or Underwriting. Ideally you will have gained experience in underwriting with delegated authority or underwriting licences. Candidates should have the ability to develop new and existing relationships with key brokers and deliver on financial targets. This role requires excellent organisation and communication skills. You will have a positive attitude and passion for detail.

Work Arrangements

You will be Home based but will be required to attend weekly or monthly meetings as required.
