Job Title: Assistant Planner / Town Planner
Location: Reigate, Surrey

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading Care Developer in their search for an Assistant Planner or Town Planner to join their growing planning team based in Reigate.

Role Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications, appeals, and supporting documentation
- Undertake planning research and site assessments
- Monitor emerging planning policy and assist in preparing planning strategies
- Liaise with local authorities, external consultants, and internal stakeholders
- Help manage planning projects through to determination
- Attend site visits and contribute to community consultation where necessary
Requirements:
- Degree in Town Planning or a related subject (RTPI-accredited preferred)
- Working towards (or recently gained) RTPI membership
- Planning experience (either consultancy or local authority)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A good understanding of the UK planning system and current policy
- Proactive attitude and keen to develop professionally
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
