We are representing a long-established and award-winning planning and architecture practice, seeking to recruit an Assistant Planner or Planner to join their growing town planning team based in Stevenage.
This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional with at least two years of experience to join a well-regarded multidisciplinary team that delivers a wide variety of planning projects across multiple sectors. About the Role
You will work alongside senior planners and architects on a range of projects of varying scale and complexity. Responsibilities will include:
Preparing and submitting planning applications
Assisting with Local Plan representations and policy reviews
Undertaking site appraisals and planning assessments
Supporting planning appeals and written representations
Liaising with clients, consultants, and local planning authorities
Contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality, client-focused outcomes

Candidate Profile
At least 2 years of experience in a town planning role, ideally within a consultancy or local authority
A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI accredited preferred)
Strong understanding of UK planning policy and application processes
Excellent communication, report writing, and organisational skills
A collaborative mindset with a proactive and professional approach
Working towards or already holding RTPI chartership is desirable
