Job summary

Hirecracker Planning in London is seeking an Assistant Town Planner to join our fast-growing consultancy. If you are a year or two into your planning career, this is a step that combines hands-on project involvement with mentorship from senior planners.

You will support the development of significant projects, assist external teams, deliver analysis and reports, help with planning applications, and collaborate across internal and external partners to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• RTPI/RICS accredited qualification required.
• Ambition to influence development of large-scale projects.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and excel.
• RTPI chartership may be in progress or pursued.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of significant projects, supporting senior planners.
• Assist with management of external consultant teams and ensure client/stakeholder needs are met.
• Provide high-quality analysis, research, and written reports for effective communication.
• Support submission of planning applications and planning strategies for project management.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth delivery of projects.

Assistant Town Planner Ideal Skills:

• Excellent academic qualifications with an RTPI/RICS accredited qualification.
• Ambition and drive to influence and contribute to the development of large-scale, high-profile projects.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills with the ability to present ideas and solutions clearly.
• Energetic, proactive approach with a willingness to learn and excel.
• Ideally, candidates will already have RTPI chartership or be working towards submission in the near future.
