Job Title: Assistant Town Planner

Location: Exeter, Devon

Position Type: Full-Time, Office-Based

Salary: £23,000 - £42,000 per annum DOE

About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established estate agency based in Exeter, Devon, who are looking for an Assistant Town Planner - Senior Town Planner to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual at the start of their planning career or someone 5 to 6 years into their career already and looking for a change. The role is office-based and will offer exposure to a wide range of planning projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assisting with planning applications and development proposals.
  2. Supporting the preparation of reports, site assessments, and planning documents.
  3. Conducting research on planning policies and regulations.
  4. Liaising with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
  5. Helping to manage projects and assist with site visits.

Requirements:

  1. A degree in Town Planning or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  2. Experience in town planning, from recent graduates to those with up to 5-6 years of experience.
  3. Strong knowledge of UK planning law and regulations.
  4. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  5. Proficiency with planning software and Microsoft Office.
