Manpower Recruitment have teamed up with an established company on the outskirts of Oxford (Abingdon area) and are looking for an Assistant to Surveyor.


**Please note- a Valid UK driving licence is needed for this role


The role is Full time, Monday-Friday, and typical office hours, paying £25,300-£30,000pa depending on experience.


The Role
As part of your duties, you will be assisting the team and conducting surveys, call out readings, write numbers, mark distances, and use measuring devices as needed. You will work directly under field surveyors and travel to job sites as part of a larger team. You will be supporting local housing associations, within the local area.

I.T literacy will be needed for the role, due to the portals and programmes used to complete daily tasks.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in conducting land and building surveys
  • Operate and maintain surveying equipment
  • Record and interpret field data accurately
  • Support the preparation of survey reports and drawings
  • Follow safety procedures and site protocols
  • Collaborate with surveyors and engineers on project tasks
  • Help in setting out construction sites
  • Ensure proper documentation of survey activities
  • Assist in data entry and analysis using software tools
  • Transport and set up equipment at various sites

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of surveying principles and tools desirable
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical ability to carry equipment and walk long distances
  • Valid driver's license is required
