Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager

Location: UK-wide projects (accommodation provided)

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 + package

We are representing a leading main contractor renowned for delivering high-profile construction projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager to join their team, supporting the Project Director on site and in the office.

The Role:

This position will see you working closely with the Project Director to ensure the smooth coordination of day-to-day project activities. You’ll be a key link between clients, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring that communication, documentation, and organisation are managed to the highest standard. Accommodation will be provided when working away from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily support to the Project Director both on-site and in the office
  • Source information in support of general business and project requirements
  • Coordinate diaries, meetings, and conference calls on behalf of the Project Director
  • Manage inbox and handle enquiries to support the Project Director’s workload
  • Arrange and attend meetings (internal and external), prepare agendas, collate paperwork, maintain AED logs, and ensure follow-up actions are completed
  • Assist in preparing project documentation and reports
  • Draft correspondence and produce documentation including letters, emails, memos, reports, and presentations
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and colleagues on behalf of the Project Director

Requirements:

  • Experience in a project coordination, administration, or assistant project management role (construction experience preferred but not essential)
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work on-site with some travel and overnight stays
