Job description

Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive

Rochdale

£38,500 per annum

Permanent

Full time, hours – 36.5 per week

Our client is looking for an Assistant to the Chief Executive to provide confidential, high-level executive support and manage the Executive Assistant functions for other Executive Directors.

Reporting to the Governance Manager, this role will support the governance of our client, including administration of Executive and Senior Leadership meetings, and supporting Board and Committee meetings to ensure statutory and governance compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Managing the Chief Executive’s correspondence.
  2. Circulating information from the Chief Executive to stakeholders, ensuring proper formatting.
  3. Planning and organising the Chief Executive’s calendar, meetings, travel, and accommodation.
  4. Preparing the Chief Executive with relevant paperwork and information for meetings.
  5. Maintaining electronic and paper filing systems, including updating CRM and other systems.
  6. Undertaking appropriate project work.
  7. Acting as the point of contact for the Chief Executive among the Executive Team, Board Members, colleagues, and stakeholders.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a good educational background, including GCSE Maths and English (grade C/4 or above), and proficiency in Microsoft 365.

Experience in providing executive administration/support to senior staff, organising complex meetings, and taking/writing minutes up to Board level are essential. You should be able to work under pressure, be proactive, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
