Job Description:

Main duties of the job include:

  1. Working with service users supported by the Crisis Home Treatment Team, experiencing the acute phase of mental illness, and requiring intensive support as an alternative to hospital admission.
  2. Collaborating with Occupational Therapy colleagues and the wider Trust team.
  3. Engaging with service users and carers.
  4. Liaising with statutory and non-statutory service providers involved in service user care and treatment.
  5. Working individually with service users on specific tasks and therapeutic activities under the guidance of an Advanced Assistant Therapy Practitioner.
  6. Carrying out Occupational Therapy assessments as directed.
  7. Promoting engagement in meaningful occupation to enhance quality of life.
  8. Providing interventions aligned with Trust values.
  9. Offering feedback on occupational performance observed during sessions.
  10. Maintaining electronic clinical records.
  11. Liaising with carers and other professionals as relevant.
  12. Managing personal time effectively, maintaining punctuality, and ensuring reliable attendance.
  13. Attending mandatory training and meeting training objectives with supervision.
  14. Occasionally planning and facilitating occupationally based groups.
