Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an inpatient rehabilitation therapist to join our team at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) in Exeter. The role covers medical wards and involves delivering therapeutic interventions, exercise programmes, and discharge planning with families and carers.
You will work across acute and community settings to support early rehabilitation and prevent falls.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (Eastern Services) as part of our inpatient rehabilitation team based at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford).
We have a substantive, full-time position available as part of a flexible rehabilitation team that will cover the Medical wards. The role will involve providing a range of therapeutic interventions, treatments and exercise programmes to patients and liaising with patients and family / carers in discharge planning and prevention of falls.
The post-holder will be expected to identify and support the physical limitations of a patients disability and their functional problems to support the therapy team to deliver early routine assessments and rehabilitation. There will be a requirement to develop strong links with the multidisciplinary teams working in the acute and community settings.
All members of the team will be expected to work across all areas and be available for the shifts across 7 days, including weekends and bank holidays.
