Job Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Technician 1 for our Formulation Services Department located in Elphinstone, Tranent.

Working as an Assistant Technician 1 you’ll join a team responsible for the storage and control of test items and the preparation of formulations supporting toxicology studies.

Duties And Responsibilities Include

  • Lab preparation and housekeeping
  • Stock control, ordering, organisation and replenishment
  • Calibration and maintenance of routine lab equipment
  • Preparation of Vehicles, general reagents used to prepare formulations
  • Disposals
  • Glassware preparation
  • Delivery of Formulations
  • Taking archive samples, test item weighings

Applicants Should Have

  • At least 3 NAT5s including Maths, English
  • A good attention to detail
  • IT skills
  • Good communication skills

The salary for this position is £23,842.35 per annum. In exceptional circumstances where the candidate has relevant equivalent experience, this will be taken into consideration.
