The JobNewcastle City Council wish to appoint an Assistant Technical Surveyor within the Planned Investment Team of the Construction Services section. Working closely with the Technical Surveyors you will support the work of the Planned Investment Team undertaking site inspections, monitoring performance of external contractors across a range of construction projects, assist in the production of contract and project documents and contribute to the project management of capital and minor works. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who holds a construction related qualification or relevant experience in the field with opportunities for ongoing training and development within the role.
Salary – Grade N7 £35,235 - £38,626

The CandidateYou will hold a construction related qualification and/or be able to demonstrate relevant experience in the field.
You will have knowledge of Building Regulations, Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations, Planning and Listed Building Consent, possess good written and numerical skills and be an excellent communicator.
You will be able to demonstrate experience of building partnerships and working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve high quality services and have the ability to prioritise conflicting workloads to ensure successful project completion.
