Job summary
University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship for Band 2 and Band 3 roles. Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer Static Band 2 - Stores and Distribution
Full time- 37.5 hours per week, to include weekends and bank holiday working
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer in the stores and distribution area. You will join our dedicated team delivering ward services at University Hospital of North Midlands.
We are looking for a flexible, highly motivated, dynamic, and enthusiastic person to provide a pharmaceutical service to our in-patients and out-patients.
You must have excellent organisational and communication skills and you will need to be able to work effectively with the existing team both at ward level and within the pharmacy directorate. You will need to be methodical, accurate and be able to follow strict procedures.

You will support the supply of medicines, including liaising with wards and departments and external customers.
It is necessary to liaise with internal stakeholders to support the timely supply of medicines and processing of orders. It is a requirement to be able to demonstrate working unsupervised to the required deadline.
You will have previous experience in a similar environment, with a willingness to work in other areas within pharmacy.
You will be responsible for the processing of ward orders and external stock requisitions for the delivery of medicines. You will be required to liaise with clinical teams, ward staff and external customers to resolve queries and to ensure patients receive their medicines in a timely manner.
The Pharmacy Department provide medicines management and medicines optimisation services from both sites. We have implemented a 7 day working service delivering high quality pharmaceutical care to the patients of this Trust 7 days a week. We provide an exciting and sociable working environment and are looking for forward thinking, enthusiastic and highly motivated staff to join our highly regarded team.
You will have the ability to work as a team member and to work on own initiative, completing allocated work and ensuring rotas are complied with.
