Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS (NUH) is seeking staff to support the Pharmacy Dispensary across NUH sites in Nottingham. The role contributes to day-to-day dispensing, customer service and adherence to SOPs within a busy hospital pharmacy.

The post requires flexibility for a 7-day rota, cross-campus work, and wearing PPE as required. Applicants should demonstrate teamwork, accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• 4 GCSE's at grade D or above in English language, Maths and 2 other subjects.
• Able to undertake the Buttercups Dispensing Course if not already in possession of the qualification.
• To be able to achieve competencies for job role including in house training and validations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in general Pharmacy Dispensary duties, including the 7‑day shifted working rota and Bank Holidays rota.
• Cross campus working.
• Must have the ability to wear appropriate PPE required for the role.

Training & Qualifications

Essential criteria

• 4 GCSE's at grade D or above in English language, Maths and 2 other subjects.
• Able to undertake the Buttercups Dispensing Couse if not already in possession of the qualification.
• To be able to achieve competencies for job role including in house training and validations.

Desirable criteria

• Possession of or working towards NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services and BTEC or a Buttercups Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship

• Experience of working in a Pharmacy environment
• Proven customer service experience.

• Accurate with good attention to detail
• Able to follow instructions and standard operating procedures

• Able to prioritise tasks in accordance with department needs.
