Job description

Vacancy at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Part-time position (22.5 hours) available on Monday, Thursday, and Friday.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Assistant Technical Officer within the Cardio Respiratory department. The role involves delivering Cardiorespiratory services to the Trust and, as necessary, to other LUFT Trust sites or appropriate healthcare sites.

Role Responsibilities
  • Provide high standards of Cardiac and Respiratory Physiological services and patient care.
  • Participate in a flexible working hours system if required.
  • Undertake clinical physiology investigations, including recording ECGs, fitting/removing ambulatory monitoring devices, and spirometry, either independently or assisting Clinical Physiologists.
  • Alert medical staff to abnormalities on ECGs, e.g., in A&E. Be BLS trained.
  • Assist in stock control of consumables used in clinical physiology.
  • Ensure the safe use of departmental equipment and report faults accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy environment and assist with risk management policies.
