Job description

CK Group are recruiting for an Assistant Technical Coordinator to join our waste management, environmental, and recycling client based in Sheffield on a contract basis. The salary for this role is up to £27,000.

Their aim is to be the environmental company of choice, delivering change for a sustainable future. The company's core business focuses on collection, resource recovery, and renewable energy, providing services for local authorities and commercial customers. They offer services including municipal waste management, business waste solutions, recycling, and green energy.

Location:

This role is located at our client's site in Sheffield.

Assistant Technical Coordinator Role:

Your main duties will include:

  • Ensuring technical control activities of the sales enquiry process are carried out and conform to legal requirements and good practice.
  • Assessing sales enquiries accurately and promptly.
  • Negotiating with waste management service suppliers to control costs and meet site EBITDA targets.
  • Developing working relationships with customers to meet site revenue targets.
  • Advising customers on waste regulations, safe packaging, and safe waste handling when necessary.
Your Background:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in chemistry or a related subject.
  • Experience in hazardous waste treatment or the chemical industry is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of hazardous goods transportation is beneficial.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite.
