Assistant Team Manager – Let’s Talk Team, Adult Social Care and Commissioning, South Tyneside

£53,460 pa • Fixed Term contract for 12 months

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone who can work alongside the Team Manager to provide robust leadership and management of our Let’s Talk Team based in Clarendon, Hebburn. This is initially a 12-month fixed-term post. The Let’s Talk Team is the single point of contact into Adult Social Care in South Tyneside and the first point of communication for members of the public and professionals. You will work with the team to ensure people are supported in the most proportionate way to meet their needs, and to embed good practice, and you will have close links to services in the local areas which are available to enable the Lets Talk Team to connect people to the right support, in the right place, at the right time.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Let’s Talk Team based in Clarendon, Hebburn, and work alongside the Team Manager.
  • Ensure the Let’s Talk Team is the single point of contact into Adult Social Care and liaises with public and professionals to connect people to the right support.
  • Embed good practice and develop links with local services to enable proportionate support.
Qualifications and experience
  • Qualified and professionally registered as a Social Worker and have a good knowledge of current legislation and regulations

  • Innovative and inventive approach to meeting need
  • Supportive staff manager able to lead, supervise, motivate, and develop individuals and teams
  • Able to build links across services and communities to ensure safe, coordinated, and effective support provision
