Position: Assistant Team Manager within our new Learning Disability and Autism Team

Key Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Team Manager, you will

  • Support the Team Manager in organizing, managing, and supervising social care services.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and the development of high-quality services.
  • Lead the team to ensure effective operations in line with legislation, regulations, and local procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement based on service user feedback, performance data, and stakeholder input.
  • Manage team members in accordance with departmental policies and guidelines.
  • Develop and oversee the preparation for adults area with in the LD & A team Preparing for adults
  • Collaborate with the Team Manager and Admin Manager to oversee administrative staff.
  • Implement supervision policies and adhere to HR guidelines, including recruitment, disciplinary procedures, and equal opportunities.
  • Address staff welfare and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Facilitate the induction, training, and development of new staff.
  • Manage budgets, monitor income and expenditure, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  • Maintain quality and performance standards through audits and project management techniques.
  • Contribute to business planning, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Develop and disseminate information to service users, families, and partner agencies.
