Assistant Team Manger - Independent Fostering - Reading - Up to £42 ph

• Location: Reading MST, Reading
• Pay Rate: £42.00 per hour
• Contract Type: Locum / Temporary
• Working Pattern: Full-time, Hybrid (minimum 3 days in the office/visits per week)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Team Manager to support our Independent Fostering Team through this period of significant change and service improvement. This is a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the transition while ensuring continuity, stability, and high-quality support for our foster carers and children.

The Role

• Support the Team Manager in operational oversight and performance of the Independent Fostering Team.
• Supervise, support and develop a team of supervising social workers to ensure effective case management and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain high standards of safeguarding, quality assurance, and care planning in line with statutory guidance and fostering regulations.
• Work closely with carers, children, multi‑agency partners and senior leaders during the transition back to local authority delivery. Contribute to service development and innovation as part of our ongoing improvement journey.
