About the role

  • Leading a team, undertaking line management, performance management and change management duties.
  • Build strong partnerships, maintaining relationships and co-producing solutions to challenges across a diverse set of stakeholders, including children, young people and their families.
  • Take a lead for specific areas of practice improvement across all of children's social care.
  • Have management of the budget and expenditure of the team by providing relevant information and seeking approval for specific service costs.
  • Respond to informal and/or formal complaints in accordance with Stage 1 of the Complaints Procedure, as delegated by the Team Manager.

About you

  • A Social Work qualification at Dip SW/CQSW/CSS or Degree Level and up to date registration with HCPC are essential requirements for this role.
  • PQ1/PQ2 and Management/Supervisory qualification are desirable.
  • Knowledge in Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in line with current legislation as well as all relevant local and national material/research relevant to the client group and build this knowledge into the delivery and broader aims of the Team.
  • Ability to prioritise workload demands and effectively allocate the cases in the Duty and Assessment Team.
