Liquid Personnel is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Team Manager to join Durham’s Children in Care Team.

As Team Manager, you will:
- Build effective relationships with children, young people, and families, ensuring that children and young people lead their care planning. Advocate for individual needs to achieve outcomes based on evidence-based assessments.
- Spend quality time with children in our care, understanding their views, life events, and supporting their recovery from past experiences.
- Complete and update assessments and review care plans in collaboration with the child.
- Assess and manage risks with support from your team manager.
- Be part of a strong multi-agency team including education, health, and our therapeutic service, Full Circle.
- Contribute to ongoing service improvements and development, with your ideas and aspirations valued.
What we are looking for in a Team Manager:
- Hold a fully accredited DipSW/Social Work degree (equivalent to Level 6 NQF), registered with Social Work England, and possess a management qualification or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in Children’s Social Care.
- Experience working with diverse service user groups, including minority ethnic groups.
- Experience interpreting and applying relevant laws related to children and adult services.
- Experience in child protection, childcare work, and related issues.
