We are now seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join us as Assistant Team Manager. As an Outstanding Local Authority, Childrens Services Directorates have worked hard and established new Family Help Teams dedicated to providing tailored support to families in their local areas.

What you’ll do:

As an Assistant Team Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting Social Workers within the Family Help Hubs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to multi-agency practices by conducting pre-birth and parenting assessments.
  • Focusing on contextualized safeguarding for adolescents.
  • Implementing the Hampshire Approach, ensuring the child's voice is heard and their views recorded.
What we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience gained from at least three years in frontline statutory social care practice, working collaboratively with children, young people, and their families.
  • Passion and commitment to improving outcomes and the lived experience of the children we serve.
  • A Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
  • You may be required to visit other locations within Hampshire, and therefore need to have a current driving licence, vehicle and business insurance.

You'll be part of a strong, safe, and supportive team environment, where your contributions are valued and recognized. In addition to a very competitive salary and benefits, we offer extensive training and development opportunities - with 5 CPD days - to enhance your skills and further your career.

  • Thorough Induction: A supportive induction to enable you to feel confident and knowledgeable in your role.
  • Nine-Day Fortnight: A nine-day fortnight working schedule.
