Job summary

Oakfield Academy in the United Kingdom is seeking an Assistant Teacher part‑time to support learning alongside our teaching staff. The role runs 18.75 hours weekly, 08:45–12:30, Monday to Friday during term time with INSET days plus 1 week. The salary is pro‑rated (£11,387.51–£11,539.56 FTE) for 40 weeks per year.

We are seeking to appoint a part‑time Assistant Teacher to work alongside our teaching staff in supporting learning and helping children to thrive across the school.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Works effectively as part of a team.
  • Brings enthusiasm, positivity, patience, humour and an understanding of child development.
  • Has a good standard of English and mathematics to support curriculum delivery.
  • Can help create a classroom environment that embraces diversity and promotes mutual respect.
  • Has strong communication skills and can communicate sensitively and effectively with parents and carers, keeping them informed of progress and concerns as directed by the class teacher.

Previous school experience is desirable but not essential. Full training and professional development opportunities will be provided to support successful applicants in delivering the very best outcomes for our children.
