RECfinancial are currently shortlisting for this East Midlands Practice Group as they look to engage an experienced Assistant Tax Manager to join their growing advisory team, working with high-net-worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs and business owners.
Are you a tax professional who enjoys going beyond compliance and helping clients make informed decisions about their wealth, businesses and future?
This is an opportunity to take on a varied and technically rewarding role, delivering practical tax planning advice across personal, business and international tax matters, while building trusted client relationships and supporting the development of junior colleagues.
You’ll work closely with clients and fellow professionals to identify tax planning opportunities, develop tailored solutions and deliver advice that makes a genuine difference.
Your work will span inheritance tax and succession planning, capital gains tax, remuneration strategies, business incorporations and restructuring, capital allowances and international tax considerations.
You’ll also advise business owners on the interaction between their personal and business tax affairs, helping them make commercially sound, tax-efficient decisions.
Alongside managing client relationships and contributing to complex advisory projects, you’ll prepare technical reports, calculations and recommendations, collaborate with solicitors, accountants and financial advisers, and help identify opportunities to develop existing client relationships.
You’ll also support and mentor junior team members, sharing your technical knowledge and helping to maintain the high standards of the wider team.
You’ll have experience in private client tax, personal tax or tax advisory, together with a strong understanding of UK taxation and a genuine interest in complex tax planning.
Ideally, you’ll have exposure to areas such as IHT, CGT, business structures, succession planning and international taxation. Just as importantly, you’ll be confident dealing directly with clients, explaining technical matters clearly and identifying practical opportunities to add value.
You’ll be commercially aware, well organised and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities while delivering excellent client service.
You’ll also be keen to develop your own expertise, contribute to the growth of the service and support colleagues in their professional development.
CTA, ACA or ACCA qualified, or currently studying towards a relevant qualification, you’ll bring the technical ability, communication skills and client-focused approach needed to succeed.
If you’re ready to build on your existing tax experience, broaden your advisory exposure and work with an interesting portfolio of private clients and business owners, this could be an excellent next step in your career. You may already be doing a similar role or a Senior looking for the next step, our client is happy to listen to all candidates.
