About the role

BDLSS provides critical support for the University of Oxford’s library systems, including Alma (the integrated library system) and SOLO (Search Oxford Libraries Online), enabling access to resources across over 100 Oxford libraries. We are looking to recruit an Assistant Systems Support Librarian to join our Library Systems Team, who are responsible for supporting and improving the key platforms that underpin Oxford’s library services.

Based in Bodleian Digital Library Systems and Services at the Osney One building in Oxford, the successful applicant will contribute to the delivery of library systems by providing support for the Library Systems Team’s day-to-day operational tasks and project work. You will work with library staff across the Bodleian Libraries and College libraries to resolve systems issues, provide training for new processes & features, and help to configure bespoke system changes for individual libraries on request. You will help manage incoming requests to the OLIS helpline — resolving routine queries, responding to colleagues, and escalating issues as needed. There will also be opportunity to support other members of the team with more technical tasks within the integrated library systems, including user account management, acquisitions set-up, and bulk metadata updates.

Contract

This role is a full-time permanent post, allowing up to three days of remote working per week by agreement with the line manager.

About You
