Job summary

Places Leisure Group is seeking an Assistant Swimming Teacher to support swimming lessons for all ages, working under the Swimming Teacher to help learners grow confidence in the water.

You will contribute to run smooth sessions, assist small groups, and participate in ongoing development opportunities within a community-focused leisure environment.

Qualifications

• Level 1 UKCC Swimming Teacher qualification or equivalent.
• Ability to work with children in a swimming setting.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Experience assisting in swimming teaching/children's classes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Swimming Teacher in swimming lessons from babies to adults.
• Work closely with the Swimming Teacher to help learners develop skills and confidence in the water.
• Assist with small groups under direction in a lesson setting.

More About Your Role

As an Assistant Swimming Teacher you will support the Swimming Teacher in swimming lessons from babies to adults. You'll work closely with the Swimming Teacher in supporting swimmers develop their skills and confidence in the water. Within lessons, you may be responsible for a small group of learners learning a specific skill, under the direction of the Swimming Teacher.
